Drawing over a decade of experience in the visual effects and post-production industry, Nicolaus Waetjen helms King's Ransom Media as  CEO  and Head of Production. With an extensive history in production, having worked in post-production as a visual effects supervisor, producer, and Compositing Supervisor, Nick brings a creative's touch to studio management and strategically guides operations for the VFX department. 

A natural builder and leader, Nick has been instrumental in the growth of multiple companies that involve the visual effects production process.  By curating key talent, Nick creates environments where artists can excel and develop and where clients can realize their clear visions through exceptional artistry and cutting-edge R&D. 

Since starting King's Ransom Media in 2019 with his business partner Britt Burke, Nick has transformed an idea into a thriving studio. Under his leadership, KRM artists, producers, and technicians have continued to push the envelope, tackling challenging and groundbreaking work. Today, Nick continues to connect King's Ransom Media into new markets, advancing the concept of bringing ideas into fruition.
